A Bit Low on Monday, but Fine Now! Ready for the Rest of Term Two!

A Lovely 10 Days with Kevin and Mary Beth!

We had a ball with Mary Beth and Kevin on their visit to Australia!  They were able to see and do a lot of things in their short visit.  Last Wednesday they rode the ferry over to Manly Beach where Kevin tried his hand at surfing.  He did actually stand up on the board for a few seconds!  He has now had that experience!  Here are some photos of their trip to Manly and back.

Flat Stanley (Flat Rose Actually) for a Young Friend in Highlands Ranch

On Thursday Kevin,, Mary Beth, and Mitch visited Featherdale Wildlife Park to see all sorts of Australian wildlife! They especially enjoyed the kangaroos and the koalas!  Click here for a link to their website:

After a trip to the Sydney Fish Market, the three of them were home for a delicious seafood gumbo made by Mitch and a visit from our neighborhood cockatoo, Popeye, and several of his friends!

A Weekend at Nelson Bay Puts the Finishing Touches on a Wonderful Visit!

For the last weekend of the visit, we rented a condo at Nelson Bay, NSW.  Here is a link to some information on Nelson Bay:

Happy Birthday to Kevin - a deep sea fishing trip.  And did we catch the fish!

What will do with all of these fish???

So - I had to say goodbye before I left for school on Monday, and I have to admit that I teared up for a while.  I am so grateful that they got to come, but December seems so far away now.  I will get myself refocused on this experience - knowing that I am so blessed to have my family and friends supporting us!  So until next week...

Take care dear friends!
